M/V Sea Voyager is an experienced and versatile small expedition-style ship especially designed for the tropics and accommodating travelers with a keen sense of adventure. If you prefer to be active and participate in hikes, swimming, snorkeling, or diving, this vessel can accommodate. Or, if you simply wish to relax aboard ship or ashore on a remote beach, the choice is yours. The zodiacs and kayaks offer seclusive ways to explore quiet bays and rivers, while the crew's commitment to genuine hospitality will result in your voyage being comfortable, relaxing and refreshing. These voyages aim to expand your world, enhance your imagination and inspire your quest for adventure.
The Sea Voyager's friendly expedition team travels with you throughout the voyage. Depending on the itinerary, there is an appropriate combination of an experienced Expedition Leader, ornithologist/birder, marine underwater specialist, naturalist and/or historian. The educational team shares their enthusiasm and knowledge about the areas you visit through lectures, recaps, and briefings that occur when you are out on deck, on land during formal and informal guided walks, or as you explore destinations by Zodiac or kayak. The staff is dedicated to ensuring that your time aboard ship and ashore is enriching and fun.
When you step aboard the M/V Sea Voyager, you find that nothing has been overlooked to make your accommodations conducive to a smooth and enjoyable adventure. The vessel is equipped with comfortable, outside staterooms featuring panoramic windows, individually controlled air-conditioning; lower berths; private bath with shower, sink, toilet, and mirrors; generous storage and closet space; and telephone. Hair dryers are available in each cabin, and electrical plugs are 110v with the typical North American two-pronged plugs.
The public rooms provide a variety of ways to enjoy your time on the water. Our spacious lounge, with full-service bar, is surrounded by large windows, so you can watch the passing scenery. In the dining room – or out on deck when weather permits – you enjoy healthy yet hearty meals prepared by our talented chefs, using fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers, fresh seafood where possible, and locally grown coffee. Our inviting dining room has tables that can seat from 2 to 12 people.
The library is stocked with books for you to enjoy and learn more about the region. Wifi internet access is available on board.
Our devoted fitness room has exercise equipment that allows you to accomplish a strenuous workout, while enjoying the view through picture windows. An onboard physician is available as needed.
If you prefer spending time outside, we have both open and covered decks with chairs and tables, and separate spaces where you can be part of a group or enjoy some solitary time.
Using our fleet of sturdy Zodiac inflatable boats, developed by Jacques Cousteau, we venture into secluded areas to explore bays and rivers where no other infrastructure exists. Quiet, windless bays are perfect for kayaking, and our “nearly untippable” kayaks can be launched from the fantail quickly and easily.
