Sailing with a maximum of 60 guests, the M/V Wilderness Adventurer features 30 staterooms on three levels, providing an intimate and personal experience. All cabins are newly refurbished with contemporary interior colors to complement the wilderness outside. They are equipped with lower berths; some also have a pullman-style upper berth to accommodate a third guest. All include private facilities with a shower, flat screen TV with DVD player and view window.
The M/V Wilderness Adventurer features a fleet of 23 touring two person sea kayaks for use by our guests, a stern mounted watersport launch platform, full wrap around viewing deck and an excursion landing craft for remote explorations. Sea kayaks, landing craft and shore hikes with naturalist guides allow guests to explore Alaska up close. Easy forays by sea kayak and hiking introduce guests to Alaska's remote back-country while cruising aboard the small ship provides opportunities to view whales and abundant wildlife. The vessels small size and shallow beam allow it explore regions of Alaska's Inside Passage unreachable by other vessels. Gourmet meals are served in the view dining room and naturalist presentations are offered in the spacious forward lounge. Single cabins available aboard the M/V Wilderness Adventurer.
Onboard comforts include Tempur-pedic memory foam mattresses, hot tubs and saunas, exercise equipment, yoga classes and optional massage. Executive Chefs pair locally caught seafood with delightful wines. Plus piping hot espresso/coffee/tea service is available 24 hours a day. Educational opportunities come in many forms: listening to a provocative naturalist-led lecture in the main salon, listening to whales via underwater hydrophone and engaging with local natives in their villages or as an Alaska family comes aboard in the wilderness to sell oysters and describe their rugged and remote lifestyle.
