The M/V Galapagos Legend is a deluxe expedition ship that can accommodate 100 guests on three passenger decks. Passengers enjoy two bars, a dining room, swimming pool, solarium, library, clinic, jacuzzi, sauna, cinema room and Kids Corner play area. Snorkel equipment and wetsuits for renting and two kayaks can be brought on board upon request. The 60-person crew is comprised of the captain, up to 7 multilingual naturalist guides, cook, barman/waiter, mechanic and full crew. All meals are prepared and served by the crew on board. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
Accommodations Aboard Legend
Five cabin types are offered: Galapagos Balcony, Legend Suite, Junior Suite, Moon Cabin and Standard Cabin. All cabins have a low twin bed or a queen bed, and four of them have an extra bed for more comfort. All have wall-to-wall carpeting, private bathrooms with hairdryers, storage space, a safety deposit box, music, closed circuit TV and air conditioning. A January 2013 dry dock gave the Legend cabins new furniture and decoration, lighting control for energy saving, special outlets for 110V and 120V (compatible with iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android and MP3, and electric bathroom mirrors.
Galapagos Balcony:
These cabins are located on the Moon Deck and have a private balcony. Eight of these suites are interconnected, perfect for small groups and families. Cabin area is 225 sq feet. These suites have a low twin bed or a queen bed, and four of them have an extra bed for more comfort. They also have a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, private bathroom, and mini bar with champagne.
Legend Suites:
These cabins are located on the outermost part of the ship on the Earth Deck. The main characteristics of these suites are the space and the layout. These beautiful cabins have a small living room next to the panoramic windows. Cabins average 200 sq feet. The Legend suites can accommodate a small family thanks to their lower beds and sofa bed. These cabins can be connected with some Junior Suites making it easier for small groups and families’ organization. These suites have a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, private facilities, inter-cabin phones, and 110/220 volt outlets, 3mts. of panoramic view, mini bar, private living room, and a sofa bed for triple accommodation.
Junior Suites:
These cabins are located on the Earth Deck next to the reception desk; There are various interconnecting Junior Suites which work well for a small group or family. These cabins have 2 lower beds, a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, private facilities, inter-cabin phones, 110/220 volt outlets, and 3mts of panoramic view. Cabins average 145 sq feet.
Moon Cabins:
Located on the Sea Deck and on the Earth Deck; they have port holes with an ocean view, and also have easy access to the restaurant. The Galapagos Legend has 4 interior cabins with a unique marine decorated style. Interior cabins average 120 sq feet. Exterior cabins average 165 sq feet. These cabins have 2 low beds, a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, inter-cabin phones and 110/220 volt outlets.
Standard Cabins:
Located on Earth Deck; have 4 interior cabins averaging 36x111 sq feet. These cabins have 2 low beds, a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, inter-cabin phones and 110/220 volt outlets. Four Standard Plus cabins have interconnected doors.
