One of the newest yachts to sail the Galapagos Islands, La Pinta is a gorgeous 207-foot expedition yacht, with capacity for 48 guests. She is the result of four decades of experience in the Galapagos, a distillation of the wish lists generated by captains, expedition leaders, hotel managers and guests over many years. La Pinta offers a relaxed yet lavish expedition atmosphere, with plush outside cabins (some of the largest offered in the Galapagos), large view windows, the highest standards of service, the very best international cuisine plus celebrated Ecuadorian dishes and all the amenities that make the Galapagos expedition a trip of a lifetime.
The on-board atmosphere is sophisticated and upscale, with the casual practicality of the expedition-style Galapagos itinerary. La Pinta is the Spanish name of
Abingdon
Island in the northwest of the Galapagos Archipelago, where the islands’ most well-known creature came from: the Giant Galapagos Tortoise named Lonesome George, famous for being the last surviving individual of an otherwise extinct race, until his death in 2012.

Galapagos Islands who meet a set of strict conservation standards.
The goal of SmartVoyager members is to continually search for the best environmental practices available; permanently train staff on how sustainability works; and to continue to emphasize the importance of environment and wildlife conservation, natural resources management, and the well being of workers and local communities.
