Ships the size of the Eclipse (210 feet) would normally accommodate many more passengers, but her layout is designed compromise on cabin numbers in order to provide passengers with unrivaled cabin space and ample social areas. The Eclipse is unique in offering the generous accommodation of a larger vessel, while preserving the atmosphere and exclusivity of a smaller yacht.

The M/V Eclipse has certification under the Rainforest Alliance "Smartvoyager" program. After a detailed audit on the environmental, social and safety aspects of the M/V Eclipse, the Smartvoyager Certification was granted to the vessel on November 5, 2007. This certification allows passengers to travel with the full knowledge that they have chosen a vessel that prides itself on the highest standards of management practices in an environmentally sensitive destination such as the Galapagos Islands.

Common Areas Aboard Eclipse
The small ship Eclipse preserves a small boat atmosphere and offers features such as a spacious dining room and shaded al fresco dining area, international cuisine, naturalist guide for every 12 passengers, lounge, library/video room, dip pool, jacuzzi, deck bar, souvenir shop, topside sun deck and an infirmary with a medical doctor on board at all times. Also stocked with snorkel equipment and kayaks for your enjoyment. Exceptional service is provided by 29 crew and 4 naturalist guides.
 

There is a well-equipped lounge for relaxation and for the nightly briefings on the day's discoveries and the following day's activities. In addition to the elegant indoor dining room, there is an al fresco dining area located around the pool, where you can enjoy the islands' spectacular scenery over a delicious lunch. There is also has a well-stocked library for quiet study and reading.

One of the favorite areas on board the Eclipse is the observation/sun deck, ideal for stargazing, whale watching or simply relaxing in the comfortable sun loungers. The ship also has a bar, pool bar and a boutique for the purchase of an exclusive range of souvenirs and Eclipse apparel.
 
Cabins Aboard Eclipse
A fully air-conditioned and extremely roomy and comfortable ship, the Eclipse’s 24 large cabins have either a double or twin bed arrangement with either picture windows or large portholes, providing a view of the surrounding waters.  She offers cabins for single travelers, a rare option in the Galapagos.  Each cabin is fully air conditioned and has a large closet, writing table, individual climate control and spacious, well-appointed bathroom with hairdryer, fresh towels dailly and the complimentary use of bathrobes.
