Many of our destinations are havens for interesting and exotic birds from Bald Eagles of the Alaska to rare Resplendent Quetzal of Central America. While not the primary focus of our explorations, watching birds is an enjoyable pastime that can illustrate the beauty and complexity of a regions ecosystem. Many of our naturalist guides are expert birders and will assist you in identification often relying on call and behavior as much as physical characteristics. A pair of binoculars for each traveler is essential for those interested in viewing birds since they may fly away before binoculars can be shared.
