Ecotourism is central to our mission as an eco-tourism operator. We strive to raise awareness for habitats in need of protection and contribute positively to the communities we visit. While all of our trips are designed to meet these goals, some offer opportunities for travelers to actively participate in conservation. These trips include a visit to non profit projects such as the Caribbean Conservation Corporation protecting nesting sea turtles in Costa Rica and the Ix Chel foundation, preserving medicinal knowledge of Maya elders in Belize. You will learn about grassroots conservation efforts and may have opportunities to meet researchers or program directors. Exposure to these groups often inspires travelers to get involved. Some make financial contributions, others provide professional services while some have returned to volunteer.
