Small-ship adventure-cruising company AdventureSmith Explorations is expanding its destination options this winter with a new program that explores Belize, plus an optional pre-cruise add-on to Guatemala.
Beginning in December 2012, the standard 8-day Ancient Sites, Rain Forests & Coral Reefs itinerary travels roundtrip from Belize City aboard the 138-guest Yorktown. Guests will snorkel the world’s second-largest barrier reef, hike through jungle walking trails to ancient Mayan temples, and play I-Spy with a wide range of bird and wildlife species at Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary.
Standard rates start at $5,395 pp dbl. Rates are inclusive of welcome and farewell cocktail receptions; all meals aboard the ship; beverages including house wine, beer and soft drinks during lunch and dinner; educational lectures and discussions, and gratuities for guides and drivers.
