AdventureSmith Explorations Offers Land-Based Tours

AdventureSmith Explorations, an expedition ship operator, is launching a land-based product that focuses on distinctive wilderness lodges and boutique hotels that promote proximity to nature and authentic culture. “Many of our land programs began as extensions to our small ship cruises,” said Todd Smith, AdventureSmith Explorations owner and founder. “However over time they have become so popular they are now stand-alone itineraries in unique destinations. Our accommodations and the people who run them are rooted in the region's environment.”

Smith said the land tours are designed and operated with the same philosophy as the adventure cruises. They offer small group travel, with exceptional naturalist guides designed to access and explore regions that are off the radar of most travelers and away from tourist crowds.

“We are a company founded by guides and believe that a professional, knowledgeable and personable guide is the key to a successful adventure travel experience be it land-based or small ship cruising,” said Smith. For the coming year, AdventureSmith Explorations will be offering 41 distinctive land-based tours. AdventureSmith Explorations offers small ship adventure cruise vacations. In moving through exotic natural environments and exploring vibrant native cultures seldom associated with more mainstream cruise itineraries, AdventureSmith Explorations dedicates its efforts to small footprint, sustainable travel and has launched a carbon free cruising initiative. Its off-the-beaten-path destinations include Alaska, Baja, Costa Rica, Belize, Ecuador and the Galapagos, Hawaii, Peru, the Arctic, Antarctica and Australia.
