Antarctica - Camp out at the end of the Earth on AdventureSmith Explorations' Antarctic Peninsula Basecamp Cruise. Unlike most Antarctic cruises, the 12-day journey aboard the 110-passenger M/V Plancius allows travelers to leave their cabin for a night or more and sleep under the stars. Truly intrepid adventurers can also opt for hikes to scientific stations, kayaking expeditions and glacier climbing. While you'll have to pack your foul-weather gear and an extra pair of long johns, tents, wind- and waterproof bivouac bags, mattresses and polar sleeping bags are provided. Departure dates are Feb. 27 and Nov. 22.
