A complete fall 2012 refurbishment renewed Evolution's cabins, from the carpets to drapes, paint and wallpaper to furniture and bathrooms. The Evolution is now also plastic free thanks to a state-of-the-art water filtering system. No more plastic bottles! A complete waste water treatment plant was installed as well as a new oil-filtering system that will make an immense positive difference regarding waste. A new noise insulation system was added to the engine and generator rooms as well. Guests aboard Evolution are most sure to enjoy the new decking, the refurbished Jacuzzi, the new boutique and the renovated outdoor bar.

Common Areas Aboard Evolution

Evolution features a lounge with a bar and facilities for lectures, slide shows and films. The lounge also features a library with a wide range of books, movies and board games. The yacht features both inside and al-fresco dining areas and a sky deck lounge on Albatross Deck with a bar and beautiful rattan furniture. At the bow of the yacht find the Jacuzzi with lounge chairs for sunbathing and ample outside deck space.

Sea kayaks, snorkeling gear and shortie wetsuits are available on board free of charge. A professional crew of 18 plus 2 naturalist guides, 1 doctor and 1 cruise director takes care of your every need. There is a boutique onboard for purchasing amenities and souvenirs, and a reception area where your cruise director can always be found. The yacht features a fully equipped infirmary with an doctor onboard at all times. For family cruises, the Evolution offers a Kids Club with activities like star-gazing and movie nights. For family cruises, child-oriented guides organize learning activities and provide children with a kids expedition journal for their entertainment. A Sony PlayStation system console is available in the library as well as a wide range of board games and movies for children. Children's menus are specially prepared for family Galapagos cruises aboard Evolution.

Dining Aboard Evolution

All meals are served in either the inside dining room or the equally elegant al-fresco dining area at the stern of the yacht. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style and prepared by specially trained chefs. Meals are served in wholesome quantities and in a variety of menus with tropical exotic fruits always available. Children's menus, vegetarian menus and other special menus are available upon request. Hors d’oeuvres are normally served along with local juices as a welcome treat twice a day upon return to Evolution following your daily Island visits and snorkeling outings. Water (sparkling or still), soft drinks and juices are available free of charge throughout the duration of your cruise. Wine and beer are offered with meals, and added to your bar tab. There is a self-service coffee station that is open 18 hours per day. It opens at 6:30am with fresh-brewed coffee, tea or herbal teas and typically closes at 11:00pm. Cookies, crackers and chocolates are available at the coffee station 24 hours a day, as well as instant coffee.

Cabins Aboard Evolution

Evolution offers 3 suites, 8 premium staterooms and 5 deluxe staterooms all with exceptional accommodations, private facilities, climate controls, safe-boxes and ample space to hang and store clothing. Stateroom prices vary according to their deck location and size. All cabins have private bathrooms with hair dryers, amenities like those of any fine hotel and ample space to store toiletries. Electricity onboard Evolution is 110 volts, 60 cycles. You will find several electrical outlets (USA Standard 2 flat prong outlets) in your cabin and one in your bathroom.

Master Suite (Category 5)

Master Suite A1(501) is located on the Albatross Deck. The master suite features a double bed, private facilities and view windows, and is 263 square feet.

Suites (Category 4)

Suites A2 (401) and A3 (402) are located on the Albatross Deck and features private facilities and view windows.  Suite A2 (401) can have two twin beds or a double bed and is 194 square feet.  Suite A3 (402) has a double bed and is 202 square feet. 

Premium Staterooms (Category 3)

Eight Premium Staterooms C1-C3, C5-C9 (301-308) on the Cormorant Deck have private facilities and portholes views. Cabin C1 (308) has a double bed and is 194 square feet. Cabins C2-C3 (305, 307) can have two twin beds or one double bed and are 185 square feet. Cabins C5 (303) has a double bed and is 145 square feet. Cabins C6 and C8 (301,304) can have two twin beds or one double bed and are 165 square feet. Cabin C7 (302) can have two twin beds or one double bed and is 188 square feet. Cabin C9 (306) has one double bed and is 198 square feet.   

Premium Stateroom (Category 2)

Premium C4 (201) has a double bed, private facilities, with porthole. Cabin C4 (201) is 140 square feet and located on the Cormorant Deck.

Deluxe Staterooms (Category 2)

Four Deluxe Staterooms D1-D4 (202-205) on the Darwin Deck offer private facilities and porthole views. Cabin D1 (204) has twin beds and is 172 square feet. Cabin D2 (205) has a double bed and is 172 square feet. Cabin D3 (203) can have two twin beds or one double bed and is 200 square feet. Cabin D4 (202) has a double bed and is 166 square feet.
