The M/V Galapagos Legend is a deluxe expedition ship that can accommodate 100 guests on three passenger decks. Common Areas Aboard Legend
Passengers enjoy two bars, a dining room, swimming pool, solarium, library, clinic, jacuzzi, sauna, cinema room and Kids Corner play area. Snorkel equipment and wetsuits for renting and two kayaks can be brought on board upon request. The 60-person crew is comprised of the captain, up to 7 multilingual naturalist guides, cook, barman/waiter, mechanic and full crew. All meals are prepared and served by the crew on board. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
Cabins Aboard Legend
Six cabin types are offered aboard Legend: Balcony Suite Plus, Balcony Suite, Legend Suite, Junior Suite, Standard Plus Cabin and Standard Cabin. All cabins have a low twin bed or a queen bed, and four of them have an extra bed for more comfort. All have wall-to-wall carpeting, private bathrooms with hairdryers, storage space, a safety deposit box, music, closed circuit TV and air conditioning. A January 2013 dry dock gave the Legend cabins new furniture and decoration, lighting control for energy saving, special outlets for 110V and 120V (compatible with iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android and MP3, and electric bathroom mirrors.
Galapagos Balcony Suite
The Galapagos Balcony suite is the Balcony Suite Plus with the addition of an interconnected cabin with two adjoining berths making for a total square footage of 471.
Balcony Suite Plus
There is one Balcony Suite Plus cabin on the Moon Deck, measuring 245 square feet. This cabin features two private balconies, a special relax settee, exclusive decoration and the ability to have two lower berths or a queen bed. This cabin can accommodate a triple with a sofa bed. Amenities include a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, large private bathroom, and mini bar with champagne. Wheelchair facilities are available in this suite.
There are eight Balcony Suites located on the Moon Deck, each with a private balcony with panoramic view and sliding doors. Seven of these suites are interconnected, perfect for small groups and families. Three are triples with a sofa bed. Cabin area is 226 square feet on average. These suites have a low twin bed or a queen bed. Balcony suites have a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, private bathroom and mini bar with champagne.
These cabins are located on the outermost part of the ship on the Earth Deck. The main characteristics of these suites are the space and the layout. These beautiful cabins have a small living room next to the panoramic windows. Cabins average 215 square feet. The Legend Suites can accommodate a small family thanks to their lower beds and sofa bed. These cabins can be connected with some Junior Suites making it easier for small groups and families’ organization. These suites have a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, private facilities, mini bar, private living room and a sofa bed for triple accommodation.
24 Junior Suites are located on the Earth Deck next to the reception desk. There are nine interconnecting Junior Suites, which work well for a small group or family, and seven with a sofa bed for triple accommodation. These cabins have 2 lower twin beds or a queen, a safety deposit box, music, TV, air conditioning, private facilities, inter-cabin phones. Cabins average 161 square feet.
Standard Plus Cabins
Located on the Sea Deck and on the Earth Deck, 17 Standard Plus Cabins have portholes with an ocean view and panoramic skylights. They also have easy access to the restaurant. They average 118 square feet. These cabins have 2 low beds, a safety deposit box, music, TV closed circuit, air conditioning, inter-cabin phones and 110/220 volt outlets.
