Experience a harmonious balance between conventional cruising and private yachting, along with an exciting voyage of discovery, unraveling the wonders of the Aegean Islands and of Turkey. Each day you will discover a new port of call, a hidden cove with crystal blue waters to cool you, a glimpse of ancient history to amaze you and rich cultural diversity to intrigue you!

Day 1 - FRI - Marina Zeas (Athens)
2:00–3:00pm embarkation. After boarding, enjoy a welcome cocktail. Your ship sets sail for Delos that evening, passing Cape Sounion in the distance, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand on a high promontory and are illuminated at night. Overnight at sea.

Day 2 - SAT - Delos - Mykonos/Greece
Today the ship sails to the white and Cycladic islands. Enjoy an optional visit to tiny Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. On an optional guided tour, visit the archaeological ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, unearthed here in the 19th century. Delos is a true open-air museum with many ancient monuments and buildings that are remarkably intact.

Next, sail to one of Mykonos' most beautiful bays for lunch and a nice swim stop, weather permitting. Later in the afternoon sail into Mykonos to discover its brilliant white houses and stroll in the narrow streets. While exploring the town you can visit the archaeological museum or the maritime museum, and don’t forget to visit a bakery that has been turning out bread in wood-fired ovens since the 15th century. We suggest ending your evening as the Mykonians do and enjoy a glass of ouzo and traditional "mezedes" appetizers or enjoy Mykonos world famous night life.

Day 3 - SUN - Samos, Greece
At daybreak, leave Mykonos to reach the island of Lipsi for a revitalizing swim stop and a barbeque on deck. In the afternoon, set sail for Samos - a lush island located just across Mycale, Turkey which is known for its sweet wine produced from Samos' unique Muscat grape variety. Explore and overnight in Samos.

Day 4 - MON - Kusadasi, Ephesus/Turkey - Patmos/Greece
Today our explorations of ancient civilizations continue with an optional tour to Ephesus - the greatest archaeological site in the Aegean region. As you tour this remarkably preserved Greek and Roman city, you may feel as if you’re about to encounter a toga-garbed resident or hear a chariot clattering down the main avenue, the same avenue down which Cleopatra and Mark Anthony rode in procession more than 2,000 years ago!

After lunch, enjoy some free time at the Kusadasi’s bustling market before sailing for Patmos, the tiny yet spectacular island featuring whitewashed houses with colorfully painted shutters and doors, stone-paved streets, and narrow alley. Overnight in Patmos.

Day 5 - TUE - Patmos - Amorgos/Greece
Patmos - a small volcanic island in the Aegean Sea which is famous in history as the place of St. John's exile. Your optional Patmos excursion includes two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Grotto and Monastery of St.John and the historic center of the medieval town of Chora. After lunch, set sail for the picturesque island of Amorgos which we reach in the evening. Overnight in Amorgos.

Day 6 - WED - Santorini/Greece
In the morning stop at Manganari Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. At noon reach Santorini, formed by the half-submerged crescent of a volcanic caldera. Go ashore and take a cable car to the town of Fira, a stunning cluster of white buildings atop a cliff. Here, enjoy a guided optional walking tour among Fira’s narrow, picturesque streets. Visit the Prehistoric Museum, which houses fascinating artifacts from Akrotiri - a city buried in the eruption that created the caldera in 1600 B.C. In the evening there is time for a visit to Oia, famous for its sun set. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 7 - THR - Kythnos - Marina Zeas (Athens)
In the morning arrive in Kythnos Island to enjoy a swim in Kolones Bay. Kythnos is part of the Western Cyclades and is considered as an unspoiled island with very friendly locals. Life is quiet and slow, an ideal location for relaxing, swimming, on its sandy beaches and enjoy traditional simple food. Its major attraction is a fairly well known healing thermal spa. In the afternoon sail to Marina Zea and overnight in port.

Day 8 - FRI - Marina Zeas (Athens)
After breakfast, it is time for you to bid farewell to your fellow passengers and to your crew and disembark.

Notes on Itinerary: Read this itinerary as a guide only; swim stops and barbeques are weather permitting, itinerary is subject to weather conditions and sailing might not be permitted in force 7 Beaufort winds. The company reserves the right to substitute the vessel.

Single/Triple Travelers: For single occupancy cabin reservations a 50% single supplement is applicable for on the fare per person in twin cabin. Single space is capacity controlled. Third person rates are available in category A only at 30% reduction of the double occupancy rate.

Children Discount: Children between the ages of 7-10 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount on the cruise fare per person in twin cabin. Children between the ages of 10-16 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 35% discount. Port taxes are not discounted.

Included aboard Panorama: Shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, on board entertainment as specified in the cruise program selected, American buffet breakfast and one main meal daily - including a welcome cocktail, a Greek Night, fun BBQ (weather permitting) and Captain's Dinner; regular coffee, tea and mineral water free all day, and services of our expedition staff.

Not Included aboard Panorama: Port charges, fuel surcharge, travel insurance, transfers, optional air/sea or land programs (unless noted), shore excursions, airport facility charges, taxes/fees, nor do they include items of a personal nature such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, gratuities, gift shop purchases, medical services, phone calls, etc. All onboard charges are in Euros.

Arrival/Departure:The Aegean Odyssey cruise begins and ends in Marina Zea, Piraeus. Embarkation is at 2:00pm on day one (Friday) of the itinerary. Plan flights to arrive early morning as to have time to transfer to the ship. We highly recommend arriving one day prior to avoid any delay or baggage issues. Disembarkation is after breakfast on day 8. Plan outward flights no sooner than noon for airport check in time.

Accommodations Aboard: The state of the art, 3 masted sail cruiser "Panorama" can accommodate up to 49 passengers in 25 cabins. This sail cruiser has performed several Atlantic Ocean crossings and has sailed from the Seychelles to Monte Carlo and from the Black Sea to Tunis and offers the highest standard of accommodation and comfort safety. The panorama cabins are located on all 3 decks and are finished with wooden furniture and light fabrics. Cabins on the Upper and Main Decks are equipped with windows while cabins on the Lower Deck are finished with portholes. The fully equipped bathrooms are finished with marble. All cabins are air-conditioned and fitted with TV, telephone (for internal use), hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.

Qualifications: This trip will be enjoyed by anyone who is in good health and leads an active life. Daily excursions from the boat will be made in Zodiacs. Trip members will take excursions to specific areas for wildlife observation. Hiking time for most landings will be a couple of hours roundtrip with lots of time to stop to study, photograph and enjoy the flora and fauna. Some landings are dry but many are "wet", requiring cautious footing on slippery rocks. The boat staff will be on hand to assist.
