Enjoy a harmonious balance between conventional cruising and private yachting, along with an exciting voyage of discovery, unraveling the wonders of the Turquoise Coast of Turkey and the Greek Islands of Eastern Aegean. Each day you will discover a new port of call, a hidden cove with crystal blue waters to cool you, a glimpse of ancient history to amaze you and rich cultural diversity to intrigue you!

Day 1 - Mamaris/Turkey - Rhodes/Greece
Embarkation is from 3 to 4 pm. This evening reach Rhodes - the city famous for its amazing fortified Old City, one of the best preserved Medieval settlement in Europe. Overnight in Rhodos port.

Day 2 - Rhodes - Symi/Greece
Spend all day in Rhodes at your leisure. Rhodes is the biggest Island of the Dodecanese (twelve islands) and its Medieval City offers a testament to the islands past, and is home to the stunning Palace of the Grand Master. Your optional excursion will also include a visit to the fishing village of Lindos and to the nearby Acropolis of Lindos. This village features whitewashed houses, pebble-paved courtyards, narrow alleys and buildings influenced by Byzantine, medieval, Arab and Rhodian architecture. In the evening, reach the quaint port of Symi, a mountainous Greek Island with its typical architecture and lively atmosphere. Late at night sail north and overnight at sea.

Day 3 - Patmos/Greece
In the morning, stop at an island for a short swim stop (weather permitting). Mid day arrive at magnificent Patmos, the Island of St. John's exile. Your optional Patmos afternoon excursion includes two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Grotto and Monastery of St. John and the historic center of the medieval town of Chora. Overnight in port.

Day 4 - Kusadasi/Turkey
The bustling port of Kusadasi is your gateway to Ephesus, one of the greatest classical sites of the Mediterranean. The white marble library, the marble theater and the Roman baths will show the facets of Ancient Greek and Roman culture. Morning excursion to Ephesus. Overnight in port.

Day 5 - Didim/Turkey
Spend today at Didim - home of the antique city of Didyma was successively a Mycenaean, Cretan, Persian, Roman and Byzantine settlement. The optional excursions showcases the Oracle Shrine of Apollo and the Ancient city of Miletus once a powerful Ionian and is considered to have given birth to Western philosophy and to Thales in particular. Overnight in port.

Day 6 - Didim - Bodrum/Turkey
Today reach Bodrum known in the Antiquity as Halicarnassus - the capital city of Caria Kingdom. Herodotus the father of History was born here. Centuries later the Knight of St. John took over the city and built St. Peter's Castle. The optional excursion includes the Halicarnassus site, the castle and the Mausoleum, once one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Leave Bodrum after dinner for a night sailing to Fethiye.

Day 7 - Fethiye - Marmaris/Turkey
Arrive at Fethiye, known as Telmessos in ancient times. The city was very prominent and a centre of prophecy, pledged to Apollon. That the city life was rich and highly cultured during the Hellenistic and Roman periods is evident from the existing monuments. Today, the majority of ancient ruins in Telmessos are rock-tombs, Lycian-type sarcophagi, the fortress and the Roman Theatre. Your morning excursion will also bring you to Pinara. After lunch return to port and board the Halis Temel to sail to the Cleopatra Sunken baths site. After a last swim and farewell dinner, sail to Marmaris. Arrival late at night and overnight in port.

Notes on Itinerary: Read this itinerary as a guide only; swim stops and barbeques are weather permitting, itinerary is subject to weather conditions and sailing might not be permitted in force 7 Beaufort winds. The company reserves the right to substitute the vessel.

Single/Triple Travelers: For single occupancy cabin reservations, a 50% single supplement is applicable for on the fare per person in twin cabin. Single space is capacity controlled. Third person rates are available in category A only at 30% reduction of the double occupancy rate.

Children Discount: Children between the ages of 7-10 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 50% discount on the cruise fare per person in twin cabin. Children between the ages of 10-16 sharing a cabin with two paying adults receive a 35% discount. Port taxes are not discounted.

Included Aboard Panorama II: Shipboard accommodations, ocean transportation, on board entertainment as specified in the cruise program selected, American buffet breakfast and one main meal daily - including a welcome cocktail, a Greek Night, fun BBQ (weather permitting) and Captain's Dinner; regular coffee, tea and mineral water free all day, and services of our expedition staff.

Not Included Aboard Panorama II: Port charges, fuel surcharge, travel insurance, transfers, optional air/sea or land programs (unless noted), shore excursions, airport facility charges, taxes/fees, nor do they include items of a personal nature such as alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, gratuities, gift shop purchases, medical services, phone calls, etc. All onboard charges are in Euros.

Arrival/Departure:The Turquoise Coast & Islands of the Eastern Aegean cruise begins and ends in Mamaris/Turkey. Embarkation is at 3:00pm on day one of the itinerary. Plan flights to arrive early morning as to have time to transfer to the ship. We highly recommend arriving one day prior to avoid any delay or baggage issues. Disembarkation is after breakfast on day 8. Plan outward flights no sooner than noon for airport check in time.

Payment and Cancellation Policy: To secure your reservation, a deposit of 25% of the cruise fare per person is required within 7 days of booking. Final payment is required 60 days prior to departure. All payments may be made by either check (US passengers only), Visa, Master Card, or American Express. All final payments by credit card requires the signature of the credit cardholder. Please make checks payable to Variety Cruises. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date. Group policies may differ.

An administration fee of 50$ is required for any changes made to reservations including both a cruise and a pre or post land package. In addition, any costs incurred for changes in land arrangements will be the responsibility of the passenger. Sailing dates cannot be changed within the penalty period.

For full refund of cruise fare, notice of cancellation must be in writing and received by Variety Cruises no later than sixty (60) days prior to sailing. If a cancellation occurs, the following charges will apply:
60-31 days prior to departure: 25% of cruise fare
30-16 days prior to departure: 50% of cruise fare
15 days or less prior to departure: No refund

Accommodations Aboard: The 2 masted state of the art sail cruiser Panorama II, can accommodate up to 49 passengers in 25 cabins. It was launched in 2004 offering the highest standard of accommodation and comfort safety. The public areas include a main lounge with deep pile carpet and comfortable sofas. The aft area at the Upper deck provides generous semi covered or sun exposed areas and some magnificent views. The restaurant area at the Lower deck is the perfect setting for any of your meals, with generous buffet space and seating, while the swimming platform enables you to swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit. The Panorama II cabins located at the upper and main decks are equipped with windows, while those at the lower deck come with portholes. All cabins are handsomely designed, finished with lustrous wood trims and warm fabrics. The fully equipped bathrooms are finished with marble. All cabins are air-conditioned and fitted with TV, telephone, hairdryers, mini-fridge, central music, public address system and safe boxes.

Qualifications: This trip will be enjoyed by anyone who is in good health and leads an active life. Daily excursions from the boat will be made in Zodiacs. Trip members will take excursions to specific areas for wildlife observation. Hiking time for most landings will be a couple of hours roundtrip with lots of time to stop to study, photograph and enjoy the flora and fauna. Some landings are dry but many are "wet", requiring cautious footing on slippery rocks. The boat staff will be on hand to assist.
