After swimming on the beach take a very short hike to the Marine Iguana nesting site. The walk back is through a Prickly Pear forest carpeted in crimson Sesuvium with black lava outcroppings home to more marine iguana colonies. Day 4 - Santa Cruz - Floreana

Wake up to an early breakfast at the lodge before departing to your Tortoise Quest Tour. This tour begins with a trip to "Los Gemelos" (The Twins), two enormous collapsed lava chambers - an awe-inspiring visual reminder of the power of nature. The short, easy hike to each of the twins is teeming with endemic flora and fauna, including the remaining Scalesia Forest draped in Liverwort, large and small tree finches, the adorable Vermillion flycatcher and more. It's a wonderful introduction to the majestic power of the forces of natures and the great biodiversity of the Santa Cruz Highlands. Afterwards, visit a 600-acre private reserve where the giant Galapagos tortoises freely roam, graze and sleep.

After visiting the tortoises, take a 5-minute ride to the entrance of a 450 meter (1350 feet) illuminated lava tunnel. With a ceiling nearly 20 feet high in most places, this is an incredible opportunity to ramble through the remnants of one of the most powerful forces in nature…lava flows. Stalagmites, stalactites, sulfur and mineral colored walls and the rippled form of a floor of lava can all be experienced in this uniquely Galapagos stroll.

Return to Aventura Lodge for Lunch. At 2pm depart for Floreana. Sailing time is 1.5 - 2 hours. Arrive into Floreana at approximately 4pm for check in at the lodge. Have some free time to look around before a 7:30 Briefing and a BBQ Dinner at a local restaurant to enjoy the local hospitality. A gift basket awaits the Honeymooners at the cozy cabin of the lodge.

Day 5 - Floreana - Isabela

Early morning transport & history lecture in an open-air bus to the highlands of Floreana. Walk up to see the Asilo de la Paz (Peace Asylum)- an artisan fresh water spring that attracted pirates, whalers and later settlers; Visit the Cueva de los Piratas (Pirate's Cave) - where the pirates carved temporary shelter out of soft stone; and venture to a tortoise reserve for further exploration and learning.

Depart for Isabela (1.5 - 2 hours) passing by Isla Tortuga - chocked full of frigates, blue-footed boobies and other birds that rely on the sea for their food. Check-in to the Red Mangrove Isabela Lodge and enjoy a wholesome lunch. Hop on the Las Tintoreras and Bay Tour, for a cruise across the port and an intriguing walk through a jagged lava field. Marvel at some of the islands' most gorgeous views as the black, treacherous lava fields are contrasted by the emerald green sea, mangrove and cloud capped volcanoes.

Take pleasure in a free afternoon to snorkel and swim in the warm, shallow bay surrounded by mangrove. Relax and shower before a short briefing and fabulous dinner in the Lodge. Turn in for a night packed with honeymoon splendor.

Day 6 - Isabela

Early morning departure by 4x4 vehicles for the humid highlands of Sierra Negra. Mount horses (optional) and continue on the beautiful trail. Arrive to the caldera of Sierra Negra, the second largest in the world. The views are breathtaking! Relax a bit and have a snack on the edge of the caldera. (Opt to continue on to Volcan Chico, where fumarole activity is abundant and again, the views are spectacular).

Savor a late lunch at Campo Duro National Park surrounded by more of the gentle giant tortoises. After lunch, visit Cuevas de Sucre with lush greenery leading into the entrance. Inside, the tunnel's ceilings look like you're walking through a gold mine! Next visit El Mango mirador, where from the top of highest peak you'll have a wonderful view of the entire southern part of Isabela Island and its neighboring islands.

At Isabela Lodge, choose to laze on the beautiful beach or climb on the rocks to take photos of the marine iguanas and blue-footed boobies. In the shallow waters there is a sea turtle 'cleaning station', which is a great place to snorkel and see these creatures from a few feet away. Briefing and dinner in the Lodge, topped with a special honeymooner's delight.

On your way back to town, stop at the Interpretation Center - a breeding center for the giant Galapagos Tortoises and the only place to view the rare, remaining flat backed Galapagos tortoises.

Depart to Puerto Ayora and check into the Aventura Lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon at the fascinating Charles Darwin Research Station, and return for a unique Gourmet Honeymoon Dinner high up in the highlands of Santa Cruz at Haras Bunga´s outdoor restaurant; the perfect romantic experience.
