Small Ship
The 9-day Inside Passage Sojourn combines easy wilderness cruising with visits to Alaska's popular ports and authentic Tlingit villages. The 42-guest Alaskan Dream cruises faster than any other small cruise ship in Alaska — so you spend less time navigating and more time watching wildlife, viewing glaciers and visiting Alaskan communities. Owned and operated by members of the Tlingit Kaagwaantaan Clan, the Inside Passage Sojourn has a focus on Alaska's nature, history and First Nations culture.

The Inside Passage Sojourn features a number of included activities designed to bring travelers into intimate contact with Alaska's natural and cultural heritage. In Kasaan, visit the only remaining Haida clan house in Alaska, and enjoy a Glacier Bay National Park tour with a Native Huna Tlingit interpretive naturalist on board. Spend a day at the exclusive Hobart Bay adventure base camp with sea kayaks, ATVs runabouts and more. In Petersburg enjoy a Norwegian folk dance show and an exciting jet boat tour in Wrangell.

The Inside Passage Sojourn is perfect for travelers seeking an easy cruising adventure with a focus on up-close exploration and authentic native culture. The Alaskan Dream departs from Ketchikan northbound to Sitka, or in reverse from Sitka down to Ketchikan.

Day 1 - Ketchikan & Misty Fjords

The Ketchikan community is comprised of three islands, Revillagigedo, Gravina and Pennock; transportation between them requires a boat or ferry ride across the Tongass Narrows. One of “America’s Top 100 small arts communities,” Ketchikan boasts an impressive variety of shops and galleries featuring work by many of the island’s resident artists and an assortment of souvenir items and unique gifts that make shopping in this community a must do for any traveler. At Misty Fjords, learn the natural history of the fjords, listen to the call of nesting seabirds, and feel the mist of glistening waterfalls while gliding quietly beneath glacier-sculpted cliffs.
