The 20-guest MV Origin is a new Galapagos yacht scheduled to launch in January 2016. Owned and operated by Ecoventura, she will be a sister yacht to the Eric, Letty and Flamingo small ships, and the first of three new premium-class vessels that Ecoventura plans to replace the Eric, Flamingo and Letty with.

The name Origin was chosen for its link to Darwin’s prolific work “Origin of Species.” The yacht runs two 8-day itineraries, a southern/central route and a western/northern route. Two expert naturalist guides, a cruise director, a well-trained experienced crew and a high-level Captain cater to guests' needs. Activities on board and ashore include dolphin watching, snorkeling, kayaking and hiking; the use of wetsuits, snorkeling gear and kayaks are included in your cruise fare aboard Origin.

Common Areas Aboard Origin

There are spacious social areas aboard Origin, including a dining room and bar with several lounge areas with comfortable seating, TV/DVD, cozy library, boutique and a fitness center with cardio and weight equipment. Outside areas include a large sun deck with loungers, chairs and hammocks, Jacuzzi, wet bar, BBQ and al fresco dining.

Dining Aboard Origin

Gourmet-style menus are creatively prepared by culinary-school trained chefs who will also give cooking demonstrations. Wines are poured complimentary during dinner, and there is a generous open bar policy.

Staterooms Aboard Origin

Origin features ten deluxe double staterooms, all located on the main Darwin Deck with large windows and private bathroom. Each stateroom has two twin beds that can be converted to one king bed. Two cabins can also be sold as triples and have interconnecting doors for families.
