ADVENTURESMITH EXPLORATIONS OFFERS FREE ALASKA CRUISE WITH PURCHASE OF ANTARCTICA CRUISE

July 23, 2009

Tahoe City, CA > What do Antarctica and Alaska have in common besides stunning scenery, amazing wildlife and towering glaciers? They’re both part of a special cruise deal from small ship adventure specialist AdventureSmith Explorations. When travelers book a 2010 Antarctica cruise, departing February 8, 2010, they receive a free four-night 2010 Alaska cruise featuring Prince William Sound or Glacier Bay National Park.

It’s that simple. Once a guest books an Antarctica cruise and documents are received, they will then choose their top three 2010 four-night Alaska departure dates. Travelers are guaranteed one of their top three dates at least 60 days prior to departure. And, the cruise certificate is even transferable, meaning if Antarctica cruisers cannot travel to Alaska, the certificate may be transferred to a friend or family member.

The 19-day Antarctica cruise explores the White Continent from the Falkland Islands to the Antarctic Peninsula, featuring a carefully crafted itinerary that gives passengers a more authentic understanding of the destination, up-close and personal, in a way that only a small ship cruise can offer.

Passengers first arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina for an afternoon of sightseeing and an overnight before flying to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city. Here, guests board the 114-passenger, all-suite yacht Corinthian II and spend the next two weeks exploring the scenic and wildlife-rich Falkland and Orkney Islands, South Georgia, Drake Passage and Antarctic Peninsula. Highlights include following in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton to witness a plethora of amazing animal life including thousands of penguins, fur and elephant seals, a variety of sea birds, whales and possibly even reindeer. Scenic highlights include exploring the beautiful islands, fjords and glaciers that make Antarctica so special.

Rates for the February 8, 2010 Antarctica cruise start at $13,899 per person. This includes a free, 2010 four-night Alaska cruise featuring Prince William Sound or Glacier Bay National Park (up to a $2,499 per person value). Rate also includes overnight in Buenos Aires, plus taxes, port charges, fees and on board accommodations, meals and services.
