AdventureSmith’s Andrew Browning was key to making this wonderful and well-planned trip come together flawlessly. Thank you for all the planning and translating too! A trip not ever to be forgotten!
Advice to future travelers: Bring extra cash - most bills will not be accepted in Peru unless they are absolutely flawless. Take it easy the first day or two in Cusco because of the altitude, and do not drink the water!"

Custom Peru Adventure
“Our most favorite hotel was the Pueblo in Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu. It was luxurious, with a fireplace, two showers (one inside and out), robes and slippers, and other nice extras. Our principle guide in Cusco was very savvy when it came to trying to educate us about the marvelous accomplishments of the Inca, and their naturalistic philosophies. We were given a bottle of red Peruvian wine when it was discovered that it was my birthday. Our guide in Puno was also very knowledgeable. She helped us with the long trek up in Taquile and even cooked fresh trout for us! The vehicles were very comfortable with excellent drivers. One in particular always went out of his way to be helpful, including cooking lunch for us on one of our outside adventures and keeping an eye on my wife when she stayed behind from a hike. Certainly someone you could depend on.

“Colin & I just want to thank you for all your help planning our trip to Peru. We had a fantastic, unforgettable time from start to finish. Explorandes was incredible, and we felt very taken-care-of throughout the trip. In particular, the Lares trek was an amazing experience that was the highlight of our time in Peru. Our guide Holger and the rest of the crew were wonderful and made us so comfortable. We will never forget the scenery, the people and the food as well! Regardless of our slight altitude sickness, we enjoyed every moment. Refugio Amazonas was fantastic, as was the train trip to Puno and our stays in Cuzco, Arequipa and Lima. It is a wonderful country.

“Machu Picchu, the Inca sites in Cusco, and the sacred valley were awe-inspiring. Inkaterra was our favorite lodging. They were very hospitable and the hotel had great grounds and nice layout.”
