In anticipation of the upcoming launch of the luxury vessel Aqua Mekong, Aqua Expeditions has appointed renowned Michelin-starred Chef David Thompson to its culinary team. Thompson joins as Executive Chef of the eagerly awaited Aqua Mekong, sailing Mekong River cruises between Cambodia and Vietnam, scheduled to launch in September 2014.
Thompson is the Australian-born chef of nahm in Bangkok and the author of internationally acclaimed cookbooks including Thai Food and Thai Street Food. In 2002, Thompson secured the first-ever Michelin star for Southeast Asian cuisine and was recognized in 2012 and 2013 among the "World's 50 Best Restaurants."
