Onboard meals; premium spirits, wine, beer; non-alcoholic beverages; transfers and baggage handling between airport/vessel on embark/disembark days; entry fees to national parks/preserves; all from-the-boat adventure activities and equipment; wellness amenities: hot tub, fitness equipment and yoga mats.
Round-trip airfare; passport and visa expenses; baggage, cancellation and personal insurance (strongly recommended); excess baggage charges and any telecommunications charges; gratuities; and port taxes and fees, in 2019 & 2020: $450 per person (11-day) or $475 per person (13-day).
Payment & Cancellation
A deposit of $750 per person is required to secure a reservation. The balance of the trip price is due 90 days before the departure date. Guests who must cancel their trip for any reason must do so in writing. Cancellations are subject to the following per-person penalties, based on number of days prior to departure:
91 days or more – 50% of initial deposit
90 to 61 days – Forfeiture of full deposit
60 to 46 days – 50% of gross fare
45 to 31 days – 75% of gross fare
30 to 0 days – 100% of gross fare

Plan flights to arrive to San Jose anytime on Day 1 on departures before 4/19/2019 and arrive by 11:00am on departures after 4/19/2019. Plan flights to depart Panama City no earlier than 1:30pm.
The reverse Costa Rica & Panama—Canal, Culture & Adventure cruise begins in Panama City, Panama (PTY), and ends in San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). Plan flights to arrive to Panama City anytime on Day 1 on departures before 4/19/2019 and arrive by 11:00am on departures after 4/19/2019. Plan flights to depart San Jose no earlier than 12:30pm.
We highly recommend arriving one day prior to your trip start date in case of any flight delay, cancellation or lost luggage issues. Whether you are looking for light activity options or more challenging outdoor pursuits, the ship’s crew can tailor most excursions to suit your skill level. Adventure activities may include hiking, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, inflatable boat/skiff excursions, photography, morning yoga and stretching, land treks and wildlife observation.
Select cabins are available for single occupancy at a 150% supplement; all other staterooms (except Single) are available at 175% of double occupancy rate. Triple accommodation rates available in select cabins. Charters available for up to 62 guests.
Families & Children
Kids 8 years and older are welcomed aboard all departure dates; exceptions for children 7 years and under may be allowed with special pre-approval. Save $500 per child, ages 8 to 13, with the exception of holiday departures. Special notarized consent documents and birth certificates for minors under the age of 18 may need to be presented to exit Panama. Visit panama.usembassy.gov for details on traveling with minors.
