North America Pacific Northwest Cruise

Rivers of Adventure

Adventure calls on this 8-day Pacific Northwest river cruise with hiking, biking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. The Columbia, Snake and Deschutes Rivers not only provide a recreation mecca but historic and scenic waterways that cut through dramatic landscapes forged by lava flows and ice age floods.

Transit six to eight locks aboard the 90-guest S.S. Legacy or 76-guest Wilderness Discoverer; the perfect vessels from which to enjoy days filled with active excursions. Enjoy a Deschutes River rafting trip; hike, kayak, swim, and skiff along the Columbia River; pedal through the Hood River Valley; take a jet boat ride into Hells Canyon National Recreation Area (2020); and hike to Palouse Falls and the Rowena Plateau.

Dock in the charming, Victorian town of Astoria and tour Fort Clatsop, the winter fort of the 1804-1806 Lewis and Clark Expedition. Active days are complemented with local wine tastings and intellectual narrations that feature Lewis & Clark, culture, natural history and in 2020 a presentation by a Nez Perce tribal member that explains the significance of the Columbia River Gorge area.

Rivers of Adventure departures in 2020 operate aboard the S.S Legacy from Portland, Oregon, to Clarkson, Washington, or in reverse. In 2021 join the Wilderness Discoverer as she cruises the itinerary round trip from Portland, Oregon.
