There are few expedition vessels available with fewer than 100 passengers, so the Ocean Nova offers a unique and intimate experience to her passengers while offering full private facilities and public spaces. The Ocean Nova, formerly the Sarpik Ittuk, was built in 1992 in Denmark to navigate the ice-choked waters off Western Greenland. She is a 1B ice-class vessel with a small draft that allows her to navigate in shallow waters and reach places larger ships can’t. Expert polar guides complement your cruise with daily shore landings and lectures on wildlife.

Carrying only 78 passengers and classified to operate in ice-filled waters, Ocean Nova is guided by Danish officers with deep experience in polar navigation. With outside cabins only (all with private facilities), a spacious dining room and a comfortable library, the Ocean Nova is a perfect expedition ship for your cruise to the world’s polar regions.
