The world-class 149-guest Seaventure, formerly named Bremen, is an Antarctica expedition ship that mixes elegance and relaxation with activity and education. Common Areas Aboard Seaventure

M/S Seaventure’s top deck offers sweeping views of the surrounding wildlife and landscapes from the Panoramic Lounge, where engaging lectures are supported by AV equipment. Deck 7 also features a heated saltwater pool, unique among polar expedition ships, surrounded by inviting chaise loungers that are fully protected from the wind. A classic wooden sauna complements the pool a footsteps away, as does the top deck fitness center with large view windows.

Lower deck common areas also invite opportunities for leisure, including live entertainment in the bar and lounge, and a complimentary 24-hour coffee and tea station. The library offers a quiet nook to peruse reference materials and polar novels, edit photos or use provided computers and their complimentary unlimited internet. Upgraded WiFi internet is also available for personal devices, with 200 MB of complimentary access given to every passenger. The vessel also features a clinic staffed by a certified emergency MD, as well as two elevators that serve all passenger decks. 

Dining Aboard Seaventure

M/S Seaventure prides herself on world-class cuisine. Her team of accomplished chefs share a variety of creatively curated selections of cuisine throughout each voyage, with all menus changing daily. Deck 5’s outdoor cafe invites guests to dine al fresco when the weather conditions are optimal, otherwise meals are taken in Deck 4’s elegant and bright restaurant. All Seaventure guests may enjoy complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, served with lunch and dinner or from the Deck 5 bar in the Club Lounge.

Crew & Guides Aboard Seaventure

The 90-member crew aboard Seaventure includes an expedition team of skilled and experienced polar veterans dedicated to making sure that every passenger has a safe, memorable and fun voyage. Guides range from historians and ornithologists to Citizen Science coordinators, marine mammal experts and geologists. These well-informed guides lead lectures and discussions throughout the voyage. A voyage photographer is available on board as well as on Zodiac cruises and onshore landings, acting as a photo coach with tips and suggestions for getting the best shots of the unique wildlife and landscape. And a dedicated Passenger Service Manager ensures all guests’ needs are addressed.

Activities Aboard Seaventure

Antarctica ship Seaventure invites her passengers to take part in the Citizen Science Program, uniquely with a custom-built Citizen Science laboratory. Citizen Science is a way to harness the power of thousands of travelers around the world to observe, record and report on natural phenomena. A variety of activities engage guests in supporting important research projects across major disciplines. For example, the data collected contributes to a better understanding of climate change and how it’s affecting the Antarctic Continent.

Increased storage space aboard Seaventure translates into more adventure equipment aboard, including kayaks, dry suits, neoprene gloves, and camping gear consisting of insulated sleeping bags and pads, sleeping bag liner, dry bags and four-season mountaineering tents or bivy sacks. More activity equipment allows more guests to participate in added-cost activities. This expedition ship provides all guests with excursions in the 12 Mark 5 Zodiacs, loaded and unloaded via the stern’s Zodiac launching platform.

Choose from five spacious stateroom categories aboard Seaventure, most of which offer the choice of one queen-sized bed or two twin-sized beds. All staterooms feature exterior views, a sitting area with chairs or sofa and table, complimentary mini-bar, flatscreen TV, telephone, safe deposit box, independent temperature controls and an ensuite bathroom with luxury toiletries and a hair dryer.
