Discovery Review

In this detailed review of the Alaskan motor yacht Discovery, find the complete small ship description with deck plans and a photo gallery. After reading through our Discovery review below, contact our Alaska cruise experts for more information and to compare this ship with other Alaskan small ships and yachts.

Unlike the cumbersome cruise ship giants, the Discovery's size enables access to Alaska's lesser traveled, more intimate inside passages. Well equipped for travel in Alaska's wilderness, the Discovery safely charts the Sound's remote waterways. Guests can readily view and photograph the panoramic scenery and marine life from the ship's complete walk-around deck and expansive windows.

The Discovery's traditional design maximizes use of the interior space. Sleeping quarters are practical, comfortable and private. If a large cabin and lots of ship space is important, this might not be the trip for you. But if you value authentic Alaska and up-close exploration, there is no better option.
