Design & Sustainability at Colca Lodge

The Colca Lodge utilizes natural elements in its construction such as earth, stone and straw, integrating buildings with the landscape. The style is rustic, yet comfortable and stylish, with thatched roofs and adobe walls, helping maintain inside temperatures collaborating with the natural environment. The rooms are supplied solar heated hot water. Most rooms also employ heat-radiating stone slabs warmed by the local geothermal energy sources creating a minimal environmental impact.

Amenities at Colca Lodge

Aside from the incredible Andean landscape, the natural hot springs are the most notable feature of the Colca Lodge. These hot spring pools are built in natural surroundings by the river. The four pools are fed from a main source with the temperature of 176 degrees Fahrenheit cooled off with fresh river water. Guests enjoy the healing power of the open-air hot pools, each one with a different temperature. Close to the baths are separate changing rooms for men and women as well as lavatories.

This adventure lodge also has a complete hot-spring Eco-spa where a variety of massages, facial treatments, a Jacuzzi and steam rooms are offered. Colca Lodge has safe boxes in each room and at the reception desk. Medical nursing services, telephone and internet (in the reception area) and room service are also provided.

Dining at Colca Lodge

With an included breakfast buffet, the lodge’s three restaurants and two bars, guests do not want for much. The Puye Restaurant serves Alpandina cuisine as well as international dishes integrated with local flavors.
