Enjoy authentic Alaska at this lodge 80 miles southeast of Anchorage, near the Kenai River and its world-famous salmon fishing.

Dining

The Restaurant (main lodge) and The Parlor ensure no one goes hungry during a stay at the Summit Lake Lodge. Guests enjoy a daily included, full cooked-to-order breakfast in the main lodge dining room. The log-cabin-style modern main lodge offers an open and airy space with plenty of windows that bring the surrounding wilderness in. Rustic charm is emphasized in wood and stone features, plus beautiful wildflowers that combine to create a sense of comfort and warmth, making guests feel right at home.

The main lodge’s full service restaurant and bar accommodates up to 50 guests at a time and is exclusively for cabin guests. The menu features steaks, Alaskan halibut, wild Alaskan salmon and more. The casual lounge is a great place to share stories of the day’s adventures over a cold beer or quiet cocktail.

The Parlor continues the log cabin theme, opening its doors to both guests and the public from morning to night. The menu features hand-scooped ice cream, coffee, espresso and teas. Plus, those seeking a light lunch can enjoy pizza by the slice and down-home treats like fruit pie.

Activities

Complimentary kayaks, canoes and paddle boats are available for guests to paddle Summit Lake. Additionally, a menu of a la carte activities is on offer. The Summit Lake Lodge’s activity options have been curated from over 35 years of owner-operator experience. A la carte options include floatplane tours, glacier tours by boat and paddleboard, fishing and bear viewing, scenic train rides and river floats, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking and sled dog tours.
