Under Sail: Greece & The Dalmatian Coast Aboard Sea Cloud

From the ancient temples of Olympia to the medieval walled city of Hvar, immerse yourself in the history and culture of some of Europe’s most spectacular places. The Under Sail: Greece to the Dalmatian Coast itinerary cruises along Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece aboard the legendary 58-guest tall ship Sea Cloud.

The thrill of life under sail in the Mediterranean, where the ancients sailed the Aegean, Ionian and Adriatic seas millennia ago, is an exhilarating experience like no other. Discover Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic games and an important sanctuary of ancient Greece. Wander the medieval market in Kruje, Albania’s ancient capital. Drive to the top of Montenegro’s fjord for staggering views and boat to the tiny islet of Gospa od Skrpjela, created by fishermen dropping rocks from their rowboats. In Croatia, explore Dubrovnik’s Old Town and enjoy a private performance of klapa music, a traditional form of a cappella singing. Stroll the waterfront cafes at Korčula and see the stunning coastal town of Hvar.

Each day offers half- or full-day explorations on land with a mix of historians, naturalists and local guides to ensure an insider’s perspective into the fascinating Dalmatian Coast. Unique among small ship cruises is the chance to relax on deck while watching the orchestrated frenzy of 16 crew members going aloft in the web of riggings to hand-set 30 sails. Experience Greece and the Dalmatian Coast in luxury and settle into the Sea Cloud’s unique and unforgettable style.
