How do you get to the Galapagos Islands? All Galapagos trips begin with a flight from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) to the Islands (either Santa Cruz/Baltra or San Cristobal). These flights are arranged by AdventureSmith through the vessel operator and are typically not included in the cruise fare. It is not feasible for the average traveler to sail there from the mainland or possible to fly internationally direct to the Galapagos Islands.
